Heather graduated from The University of Findlay with a Bachelor of Science degree in Equine Science and Biology as well as a Masters of Education degree and has been part of Miami Equestrian since 2005. She took over as director following the retirement of longtime Miami director and head coach Lori Cramer and, since then, has coached several riders and teams to national titles.

Heather is also a certified trainer through USHJA and the Zone Chair for Intercollegiate Horse Shows Zone 6.
