News/Travel:Folks have asked, so I recently published my own thoughts on the developments with the NCEA regarding the future of equestrian as part of the NCAA.  You can read the post here. Please recall that I am out of my office Tuesday through Friday of next week (11/18-11/21) to visit Juniata College, Elizabethtown College, Albright College, Lycoming College, Lebanon Valley College, and Messiah College in Pennsylvania.  You can follow my travels on Twitter (@CollegeRiding or on the Facebook page for The Equestrian College Advisor).I have confirmed my travel to Wellington for the College Prep Invitational Horse Show in January; I will be there January 15 - January 19, 2015.  Meeting slots are available Thursday afternoon and evening, as well as Sunday evening and early on Monday morning.  Contact me for details. Seniors:Here's another great feature on some awesome IHSA students for you to check out.Juniors:Don't forget to send your quarterly or first trimester grades to me if you haven't already done so. Also, please send any early ACT or SAT scores.Underclassmen:Are you considering a women's college?  They have some pretty awesome traditions. There's an interesting new program at Denison University - have you ever heard the term "sustainable prosperity?"  Check it out!Parents:Parents, invoices for October have been sent.  Your attention to this is appreciated.Apparently talks are breaking down a bit at Kansas State between the athletic director and the equestrian program.  More details can be found here. Please make sure that your underclass students (freshman through juniors) send those first quarter or first trimester grades to me. From the blog:From the moment we disembarked the bus and stepped into the Hampton University Museum – which is home to the country’s oldest museum of African American art – to the instant when our group rounded the corner of a building and first glimpsed mouth of the Chesapeake Bay (on which the campus is situated), we were truly in for an epic campus visit experience at Hampton University.Read More
