Who doesn't love a great campus tour in summer?

NEWS ITEMS:2014 College Preparatory Invitational Horse Show:  The 2014 CPI Horse Show will be held at the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center on March 28-30, 2014.  Applications for hunt seat riders went up yesterday and slots tend to fill quickly so don't wait to apply if you plan to attend.  I will be present at the event again this year and will be available for meetings over the course of the weekend.Dressage riders - Your CPI application will be available to fill out on September 15.  (Students may enter both divisions if they choose.)2013 Pin Oak Charity Horse Show Equestrian College Fair:  The 2013 equestrian college fair hosted by the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show in Katy, Texas will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013.  The college fair portion will be in the afternoon (2:00 - 5:00) and the coaches' panel will be from 6:30 - 8:00 pm in the same location, which will be the Arena Club of the Great Southwest Equestrian Center.  It's a great event and if you will be in the Houston area, it's worth checking out.  Admission is free. I will be there and am available for meetings on Saturday morning (September 21).  This is different than my last email and reflects a change in my travel schedule.Equestrian-ONLY Package Available:For students who may already have a college list in place or may be working with another educational consultant in their hometown, I'm now offering an equestrian-only advising package, which includes 1-4 meetings to discuss and advise on the equestrian component of the college search.  Additional meetings and support services can be purchased as a part of the package for those who wish.  For others, it can be an economical way to get some educational consultation and support without the full commitment (and price!) of a comprehensive package. From the blog:.The final stop on my Blue Ridge Counselors’ Tour was the Colleges That Change Lives member school Lynchburg College, located just a short drive across the city of Lynchburg from its neighbor Randolph College.  (Remember, the two share use of Randolph’s equestrian facility, a relationship aided by the close proximity of the two campuses.)  And despite a vast amount of summer construction that was being performed on the buildings and drives (most notably on the student center and on the main entrance to the school), we were able to see and learn quite a bit about this wonderful school on our tour.  Read More
