Wrapping Up 2024: Big Wins, New Beginnings, and What’s Next!

As the Year Winds Down, the Work Ramps Up
As 2024 draws to its eventual close, I can’t help but reflect on what a whirlwind this year has been in the world of college admissions. For my seniors, the final clicks of the 'Submit' button signal the end of one chapter—and the start of a waiting game filled with both anticipation and excitement. I’ve been honored to guide them through the highs and lows of application season, and I’m crossing my fingers for some big, celebratory news in the coming months.
Meanwhile, for my juniors (and yes, you parents too), the journey is just heating up. With the new year comes test prep, college visits, and, of course, the oh-so-fun task of diving into those personal statements and supplemental essays. This is the moment when the search for the right college truly takes shape and I can’t wait to help these students continue to craft their own unique paths!
The transition from one group to the next is a bit like shifting from one dressage test to another—you’ve mastered the moves of one level, but a fresh set of challenges is right around the corner. And if 2024 taught us anything, it’s that perseverance and preparation are key, whether in the show ring or the college admissions process.
As we head into 2025, I’m excited to tackle new goals together and help each of my students ‘get a leg up on their future.’Thank you for making this year one to remember - here's to what’s next!

So here’s what parents need to understand about seemingly divergent grades and test scores, to help them position their kids for academic success."
