It's been a while since the last edition of this digital newsletter and I'm excited to reconnect. A lot has changed in the past year, but I've kept an eye on the latest college admissions headlines and have some exciting updates to share - especially as you begin to prepare for spring campus visits and summer camps!

Visiting a college campus is a valuable experience, particularly when it comes to helping prospective students gain a better understanding of the campus culture and atmosphere of their prospective schools. By walking the campus and speaking with current students and staff, prospective students can get a sense of the community they would be joining at that particular college.

Additionally, visits reveal more about the academic programs and resources available at the institution through information sessions, talks with professors and advisors, and even sitting in on a class or two. This can be especially helpful for students who are unsure of what they want to study or who are trying to decide between multiple colleges.

Don't forget to visit the surrounding area and community at the same time! For many students, college will be the first time they live away from home and they should feel comfortable and safe there. Check out nearby restaurants and shops and talk with locals when possible to gain their perspective.
