Who doesn't love a great campus tour in summer?

SENIORS: Many of you have supplemental essays that are still in process.  Be sure to get those uploaded to your Custom College Plan account or emailed directly to me by October 31st so you can be sure of a quick turnaround time before November 15 and December 1 early deadlines.  Don't forget to send me the wording from the prompt too!  JUNIORS: Are you receiving mail from colleges?  If so, let's talk about the ones that are sending you things during our next meeting.  (I'll also tell you how to get off the mailing lists if you aren't interested in particular schools!)  I also have information on a test preparation service I can share with those who are interested.  Be sure to ask me! TRAVEL:I am back from Virginia with lots of updates to share about Roanoke College, Hollins University, Washington & Lee University, Jefferson College of Health Sciences, Ferrum College, Bluefield College, Emory & Henry College, and Virginia Intermont College!  Stay tuned into the blog and Facebook over the next few weeks as I begin to post photos and information.Upcoming visits will be localized as winter approaches; currently looking at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo College, Central Michigan University, Alma College, Otterbein University, and Bowling Green State University.  Updates will follow when the schedule is finalized.  From the blog: Our first stop on the tour (hosted by the wonderful folks at the Council of Independent Colleges of Virginia (CICV)) was Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia.  (Yes, you read that correctly; Roanoke College is not actually within the city of Roanoke, but instead is 10 minutes away.  For all of you hikers out there, it’s also just 10 miles from the Appalachian Trail.)  Here, we were treated to lunch and tours of this fantastic and growing liberal arts college.  Read More
