Is it just me, or did summer last about five minutes this year?

Yet here we are. The first bell has rung and we've traded beach days for backpacks, binders, and the chaos of early morning alarms that somehow still manage to surprise us every year.But hold onto your pumpkin spice lattes, because if you’re like me, you’re already noticing the fall and winter riding camp dates cross your social media feeds, and early college application deadlines are officially upon us. (Seniors have their Common App invitations and the party has begun!)Now, if the thought of all this makes you want to curl up under a blanket and pretend it’s still June, I totally get it. But remember, this is also an exciting time—one filled with possibilities, dreams, and maybe a little bit of healthy procrastination (no judgment here). So, take a deep breath, grab that planner, and let’s get through this together - pumpkin spice latte optional, but highly recommended!

increases in college and university tuition have been shrinking

, new research from the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond finds. Tuition 

actually fell

, when adjusted for inflation, between 2020 and 2023, the most recent year for which the figure is available, according to the National Center for Education Statistics.

But the cost of room and board rose by 14 percent more than inflation between 2010 and 2020, the College Board reports. At public universities, in-state students now pay more for room and board than for tuition." Read the full story.
